Testimonials

« In 1980, I was a 10-year-old Canadian hockey fan, fascinated by the New York Islanders who had just won the Stanley Cup. It became clear to my young mind that Mike Bossy was clearly the greatest hockey player to ever strap on the skates. Then, for three more NHL seasons, MY team, the New York Islanders dominated the game and continued to win the Stanley Cup! Four seasons in a row! Since then, I have continued to follow hockey and truly become a fan of the game...with a deep love and appreciation for the Islander Dynasty that I felt a part of from my youth. In my adult life, I had the privilege of meeting Mike Bossy numerous times. Each time, I felt the same butterflies and excitement knowing I was in the presence of one of the greatest hockey players in the history of the game. My basement, which is a shrine to the New York Islanders, has many special items belonging to and autographed by Mike Bossy. I am proud to own the three special edition prints created by Mike's daughter, Josiane, which are proudly displayed at the entrance to my Islander Haven! »

Book Poster 50 jours dans la vie de Mike Bossy

The first official biography of a legendary player

Considered the greatest goal-scorer in the history of the National Hockey League, Mike Bossy left an indelible mark on his sport. To this day, the four-time Stanley Cup champion from the early 1980s remains the only player to score 50 goals in 9 consecutive seasons in the NHL. A perfectionist, he always set the bar very high during his ten-year professional career. However, the legacy of this Quebec hockey legend extends far beyond the sport, as after his forced retirement due to severe back problems, he worked in radio, television, and public relations. Even though he reached the highest peaks, Mike Bossy always maintained great simplicity, prioritizing family time in his post-career.

Written in collaboration with Tanya Bossy, one of the daughters of the former star, this intimate book recounts in fifty days the significant moments of Mike Bossy's life and career, who passed away from a rapid lung cancer in 2022
